Zharna Sutaria

I was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and have been practising family law exclusively for the last 20 years. I am a Law Society accredited Family Law specialist and a member of Resolution, an organisation which adopts the principle of a non-confrontational and constructive approach to all family issues.

I have extensive experience in all areas of family law including divorce, separation and complex, high value financial disputes often involving third parties. I also regularly act for clients in a variety of children matters and have made successful applications to the Court of Appeal in cases involving international relocation and intractable contact disputes. Most recently, I have successfully represented a parent by securing reinstatement of contact during the Covid 19 pandemic when this had been suspended by the other parent during lockdown.

In addition, I often deal with domestic abuse matters, cohabitation disputes, civil partnerships and am frequently asked to advise on and prepare pre and post nuptial agreements.

I joined the niche family practice, Bottrill & Co LLP, in 2008 and became a Partner in 2013. Prior to this I was head of the Family department at an established local firm in Harrow for seven years. Following the acquisition of Bottrill & Co LLP, I now head the Family department of Vyman Solicitors at our Pinner office.

My approach is always to provide clear, robust and constructive advice to my clients whilst remaining sensitive to the background of difficult and often highly emotional circumstances.
