Mrs Bvunzawabaya has extensive experience in dealing with Immigration Law. She qualified in Zimbabwe and started her career in Zimbabwe before migrating to England. Rumbi worked for the Legal Complaints Service as an Immigration Complaints Caseworker before setting up in private practice in September 2007.
Her areas of interest are Immigration and Asylum, International Family Law, Wills and Probate.
She has over 19 years of direct legal experience (3 years in general private practice, 5 years in Regulatory Law and 7 years practising and specializing in Immigration and Asylum law in England.
She is well known for being empathic, customer focused and results orientated. Rumbi is well known for her positive outlook. Rumbi takes on hard to win cases and fights for the clients relentlessly. She worked on the MM and Ors v SSHD  EWHC 1900 (Admin)case. Three individuals brought a joint challenge to the new financial provisions within the Immigration Rules (the “Rules”) namely, that a sponsor who wishes to bring his spouse/partner to the UK must earn a minimum of £18,600 or have savings above £16,000 which make up the shortfall. They asserted that the financial requirements were contrary to Articles 8, 12 and 14 of the ECHR. – Rumbi acted for AF an interested party in these proceedings.
Rumbi has also acted in the case of Kadyamarunga vs SSHD /Admin/2014/301.html. This case dealt with a legacy case where the applicant was granted discretionary leave to remain. The Challenge made was based on the fact that the Secretary of State had promised to deal with the case before July 2011. Our assertion was that the applicant should have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain on the basis of that promise.
Rumbi is experienced in all aspects of immigration and asylum law. Her wide-ranging caseload includes entry clearance applications and appeals, nationality and asylum applications and applications for further leave to remain in the UK, including under the Points Based System.
Rumbi is in demand as a speaker on the latest developments in UK immigration and asylum law at Community events and you can book her to speak at your events. Rumbi has managed RBM Solicitors since it was set up in September 2007. She is now working part-time as a consultant whilst focusing on expanding the work of Migrant Family Support.

Rumbi is married to Muchada. They met at the University of Zimbabwe and have been married for 20 years. They have three children.
