I am a senior solicitor at Jones Whyte LLP, having joined the firm in 2018 dealing with family , child and incapacity law matters. I have a keen interest in family and child law matters having focused on this area of the law after having worked in a busy practice in Edinburgh where I dealt with a wide range of cases in respect of family, child and incapacity law appearing regularly in sheriff courts across Scotland in my own right and as a local agent. I previously practiced in criminal law which provides a helpful insight into many family and child law matters. I have represented many clients in family and child law matters which are complicated and anxious, both in and out of court, and have a straightforward and pragmatic approach to helping clients reach a solution.
I am member of the Family Law Association and a volunteer solicitor and member of the Scottish Child Law Centre. I am collaboratively trained and a member of Consensus Scotland.
I am committed to focusing on solutions for clients and their families, to reach the best outcome while keeping acrimony to a minimum to allow parties to move on with their lives. However, when the need arises, I am just as comfortable litigating for clients to bring matters to a conclusion.
